these are not the regular zebras you see in documentaries (though they have been in a few), those are normally plains zebras. The grevy's zebra is an older species than the plains zebra, they are taller, they have big ears, a white belly, thinner stripe patterns, and a dorsal stripe

the present estimate of their populace stands at about 2,500-3,000 individuals. they mainly live in ethiopia and kenya, though their range used to include somalia. their main threats used to be from hunting for their pelts, but now they are dealing with habitat loss, competition with livestock for resources, drought, and disease. they’ve undergone one of the most drastic reductions in range for any african mammal. conservation efforts are being made both locally and internationally. please look to the the grevy’s zebra trust to learn more. i plan to take 15% of what i make from this print/stickers and donate it to their organization
